Looking After Your Mental Health
Being a student can be so rewarding and fun…but it can also be stressful. For many students, learning to adapt to independent study, whilst living in a foreign country away from family can cause anxiety and stress.
Being aware of your own mental health and resilience is key to your overall success and independence. We encourage all students to regularly “check in.” Take time to register your state of mind – and if you notice any negativity starting to creep in, then don’t be afraid to acknowledge these feelings. Changes in your mental health are a normal and natural part of life.
It is important to recognise that sometimes we need help. Just as we would see a doctor for a physical injury, sometimes we need to speak to someone who is qualified to support with mental health.
