Pre- orientation Sessions

1. Get Set Up with Student Services and IT

Our Student Services and IT teams take you through everything you need to do to get set up and ready for your course.

2. Studying Online and Wellbeing

In this session a UNSW Global Student Adviser will share useful tips on looking after your physical and mental wellbeing while studying online.

3. Parent and caregivers Information (bilingual)

The focus of this session is to talk about what support is available to students throughout their study journey. This session is presented in English and Mandarin.

4. The Official Welcome

Meet your Teachers, Student Services and Support teams and learn more about studying, wellbeing, and social activities at UNSW Global. Your teachers will also explain your course and what academic support is available to you.

5. ‘Moodle’- Your Online Learning Platform Information Session

This session is about your Online Learning Platform – Moodle. It will cover, how to log into Moodle, find your courses and organise your dashboard so you are ready to start your course successfully!

6. Learning at UNSW Foundation Studies

This session introduces you to UNSW Foundation Studies and provides you with essential information about learning online, and the structure of your program.

7. Living in Sydney

We are very excited to welcome all our international students to Sydney. To help you with your transition into living in Australia and Sydney, and to ensure that your Living and Studying in Sydney Experience is a positive one, join our Student Support Team as they take you through important aspects of living in Sydney such as:

-Safety on and off campus

-Who to contact if you need urgent support

-Using public transport

-Seeing a doctor, a counsellor or other health professional

-How to activate your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)


-Other supports that you can access

-Working in Australia and your rights
