If you have enrolled in Face-to-Face (F2F) classes, we invite you to attend Orientation Day on Campus. Orientation starts at 10.30am, please meet at UNSW Global, L5 Building, Level 1 Student Courtyard.
If you are unsure if you have successfully registered for F2F classes, please contact Student Services.
Registered for Online Classes?
Your Orientation will be a series of live webinars, where you will meet your academic team and peers and learn about your program. Its is compulsory you attend all session.
The Official Welcome
Meet your Teachers, Student Services and Support teams and understand more about studying at UNSW Global. Your teachers will explain your Foundation Studies Extended course and what academic support is available to you. Learn more about wellbeing and social activities at UNSW Global and ask any questions.
Fun and Activities for Everyone
Get to know your new Foundation Studies Extended classmates and make some new friends at our Ice Breaker session! You will get to meet the Student Activities & Engagement team and your new classmates over some fun games.
TIP: This is a fantastic opportunity to make new friends.
‘Moodle’- Your Online Learning Platform Information Session
Join this session to learn about how you will use your Online Learning Platform – Moodle in your Foundation Studies Extended program. It will cover, how to log into Moodle, find your courses and organise your dashboard so you are ready to start your course successfully!
Living in Sydney
We are very excited to welcome all our international students to Sydney. To help you with your transition into living in Australia and Sydney, and to ensure that your Living and Studying in Sydney Experience is a positive one, join our Student Support Team as they take you through important aspects of living in Sydney such as:
-Safety on and off campus
-Who to contact if you need urgent support
-Using public transport
-Seeing a doctor, a counsellor or other health professional
-How to activate your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
-Other supports that you can access
-Working in Australia and your rights
Your Foundation Studies Program
This session will detail what to expect while you learn at UFS. This includes important information on how your classes will run, the expectations of teachers and you as a student in a range of learning environments, what new learning styles and approaches you will develop, and the support that you will be offered throughout your time at UNSW Global.
After Orientation Day, you will be able to view your class timetable, via the online platform, Publish. You will set up your password to access Publish during your IT starter. Timetables will also be sent to your student email.
TIP: You will need your G-ID to log into Publish
