21 April 2022
  • The influenza vaccine will be at arriving UNSW Health Service in late April 2022.
  • Flu vaccines are FREE for all current UNSW students.
  • Flu vaccine appointments will be bulk billed.

Why is the Flu vaccine so important this year?
We are strongly recommending everyone is vaccinated this year. The flu vaccine will not prevent COVID-19, but it will reduce the number of people who get the flu and therefore the number of people needing hospital beds as a result of severe flu, limiting the impact on the health system. It is also possible to get the flu and COVID-19 at the same time which will likely cause significantly worse symptoms.

Can I get the Flu vaccine and COVID-19 vaccine at the same time?
Yes. We also recommend a COVID-19 winter booster if you are eligible, as both flu and COVID-19 vaccines can be given at the same time. UNSW Health Service provide separate clinics for these appointments.

Where do I get my Flu vaccine?
You will need to come to the UNSW Health Service clinic to have your vaccination. UNSW will be taking bookings online via the HotDoc booking platform.

When can I get my Flu vaccine?
From Wednesday 27 April 2022 – Friday 17 June 2022. 9am – 12.30pm. They are also offering a couple of Saturday clinics. Please visit HotDoc.
